Consider the semester thus far; both this class and your remaining classes. Provide me with an assessment of your progress thus far. Meaning, how are you performing as an individual in an institute of learning? Are you pulling your weight? Could more be done on your part?
This Sociology course I find interesting in some parts but the first unit was boring because I have already taken the other sociology course. I am interested in what happens in our past and what that will mean for our society in the future. I am taking Calculus and Co-op and work medially to get the grades I do.
When I receive an assignment, I start to think about it first and tend to write about it later. I really try hard to not procrastinate but like the other 90% of teenagers I am overcome by it. I find the assignments in this class to be relatively in the grade twelve level but I seem to find myself overcome in all the assignments. I tend to take my time thinking about the assignment and carefully perfecting my work. I sometimes feel a lot of anxiety and stress when a test arrises even though I spend hours studying for it, I often do less than what I usually expect to do because the stress becomes more overwhelming.
Although I like the idea of putting our journals on a blog, it is not something I would usually do. I tend to like putting my ideas on paper and writing my reflections first before typing them up. This allows me to write my ideas as they come because sometimes a computer is not readily available. As I am typing them up though, I am able to add more to my writing and to correct any ideas I feel do not seem right for the topic or take up too much space.
In general I find this class to be interesting and at sometimes amusing. The one thing to remember is that we the students want to do well even though we sometimes do not show it, all we need is a push in the right direction.
So the question basically was "Are we lazy when it comes to assignments" and the answer is yes, at times but when I actually start getting into the assignment or when I find the assignment interesting then I give my assignment the detail and time it deserves.
